Tunisia edge out Egypt in Africa Cup of Nations qualifier


Tunisia captain Youssef Msakni starred in a 1-0 victory over Egypt Monday that completed the first series of qualifiers for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The Qatar-based midfielder set up the only goal three minutes after half-time at the national stadium in Rades on the outskirts of Tunis.
Msakni intercepted a headed clearance and delivered a sublime through ball for Taha Yassine Khenissi to score from a tight angle. 
The result confirmed the recent dominance of Tunisia over 2017 Cup of Nations runners-up Egypt having beaten them home and away in 2015 qualifying.
Tunisia top Group J with three points and Niger and Swaziland have one each after a 0-0 draw in Niamey at the weekend.
Group winners and the best three runners-up from 12 mini-leagues qualify for the biennial African football showcase.
New Spain-born Algeria coach Lucas Alcaraz saw Sofiane Hanni score midway through the opening half to bring a 1-0 Group D win over Togo in Blida. 
The match-winner was the highlight of a generally laboured performance by the nation that reached the last 16 at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Route-one football presented unmarked Hanni with a chance just outside the box and his delicate chip over the goalkeeper found the net.

Senate orders Customs to render 3 years account in 48 hours

Less   than 24 hours after Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun, revealed how revenue-generating agencies engage in “high level corruption” especially the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), which she described as “cohesive crooks hard to break,” Senate has commenced investigation into its activities. The Senate Committee on Customs and Excise also dropped hints that after the Customs’ probe, it would beam its searchlight on the ports. Nigeria’s Upper Legislative Chamber has given Customs 48 hours to provide records of waivers since 2013 and also details of how it handles seized cigarettes and alcohol, record of auctioned overtime and seized cargoes. Napoli ease past Bayern in Audi Cup

Napoli comfortably beat German Champions Bayern Munch at the Allianz on Wednesday. Goals from Kalidou Koulibaly and Emanuele Giaccherini secured the win for the Italians. After losing out to Liverpool in the Audi Cup opener on Tuesday, Bayern Munich had the chance to make amends against Napoli in Wednesday's early kick-off at the Allianz Arena. The first shot on goal came from Kingsley Coman, who found a pocket of space inside the Napoli area but his strike was comfortable for goalakeeper Luigi Sepe. Bayern Munich looked lively in the opening 10 minutes with more chances coming for Joshua Kimmich and Arturo Vidal. Napoli's first opening came through José Callejón.
