Liverpool doctor reveals how to keep your sperm count up amidst Western fertility crisis Advice after shock report revealed

Many men who hope to be dads will be alarmed by the news of a “shocking” drop in men’s sperm counts. A major study revealed men’s sperm counts had plummeted by almost 60% over the past four decades in Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand. Dr Luciano Nardo, who runs the Reproductive Health Group clinic in Daresbury, near Runcorn, said he had seen a huge rise in men from Merseyside struggling to have children. He said many of the common habits and trends of modern life could be to blame - such as stress, drinking too much, smoking, eating unhealthy food and putting on weight. He also said men from Merseyside attending the clinic were noticeably older than average - with older men more likely to have fertility problems. He said: “I’ve absolutely noticed this. The number of patients we have with an underlying male fertility issue has increased fivefold - it’s probably 35% of our cases now, compared to 5% when we started. “We’ve also noticed many men from Mer...

Want to keep diabetes at bay? Drinking alcohol might just help

Who knew alcohol consumption could also have a positive impact on our health! It's not every day that medical studies say alcohol could be good for you but according to a recent study,  drinking alcohol  can significantly protect against  diabetes . Frequent alcohol consumption is associated with a reduced  risk  of diabetes in both men and women, according to the study, with alcohol consumption over three four days a week gives the lowest risk of diabetes. However previous studies examining the role of drinking patterns (number of days drinking per week rather than volume) in relation to diabetes risk have given inconsistent findings, and ...

THE MIRACLE DRINK WITH AMAZING HEALTH BENEFITS

We have a big problem. (The “we” here being those of us in the developed world, for the most part.) So many of us live in a constant state of searching for health. We feel overwhelmingly tired and achy. We have brain fog and blotchy skin. We have weight issues. We shell out big cash for supplements and shakes and gyms. All to little (or no) benefit. We feel so crappy (for lack of a better word) that it’s almost impossible for us to believe that relief could be easy. Don’t hold the sensational title of this post against me… But let’s talk about water. WHY ARE WE IGNORING WATER? This is speculation here, but I think we overlook water for a number of reasons: We THINK we are getting enough – but we don’t really know what enough is. (That’s probably our biggest mistake. None of us are ignoring our health on purpose, right?) We underestimate the benefits of drinking water because we’ve never taken the time to really learn what water means to our bodies. It’s so...
