Uefa warns PSG 'tell us how you're going to pay for Neymar' as Brazilian informs Barcelona he's leaving

Uefa will demand to know how Paris Saint-Germain intend to finance their world-record £198 million transfer deal for Barcelona’s Brazilian superstar Neymar, with European football’s governing body reiterating its stance that financial fair play rules will be enforced. On a dramatic day, Barcelona announced on Wednesday that Neymar, 25, had told them of his intention to leave and that in response had said he could only do so on payment of the £198 million (€222m) buy-out clause included in the new contract he signed last year. It is anticipated that the Qatari-owned PSG will pay it in full although the structure of the deal, expected to be €450m in total, will have to pass Uefa’s financial fair play (FFP) rules. Neymar is expected to earn around €55m a year before tax meaning that the total deal, spread over the course of a five-year contract, could cost €90m annually - almost a quarter of PSG’s current annual revenue of €389.6m. In a statement to  Telegraph Sport , Uefa re

Napoli ease past Bayern in Audi Cup

Napoli comfortably beat German Champions Bayern Munch at the Allianz on Wednesday. Goals from Kalidou Koulibaly and Emanuele Giaccherini secured the win for the Italians. After losing out to Liverpool in the Audi Cup opener on Tuesday, Bayern Munich had the chance to make amends against Napoli in Wednesday's early kick-off at the Allianz Arena. The first shot on goal came from Kingsley Coman, who found a pocket of space inside the Napoli area but his strike was comfortable for goalakeeper Luigi Sepe. Bayern Munich looked lively in the opening 10 minutes with more chances coming for Joshua Kimmich and Arturo Vidal. Napoli's first opening came through José Callejón. The former Real madrid man was released past the napoli defence by a neat flick, but 17-year-old Bayern Munich goalkeeper Christian Früchtl was quick off his line to make the save. The Italian side took the lead after 16 minutes. After a Napoli free-kick was delivered dangerously into the Bayern box, the bal

Liverpool reject two Barca stars in Coutinho switch

Barcelona are trying everything to sign Philippe Coutinho, but Klopp has no intention of selling the Brazilian. The bosses at Liverpool remain firm in their bid to retain Coutinho. The Brazilian playmaker is a key man and the Reds will not succumb to Barcelona's advances. As reported by the Liverpool Echo, the Premier League outfit have turned down the possibility of including Andre Gomes and Rafinha in the operation. While the Catalans believe they can close the 25-year-old's signing, Klopp is not interested in the Barca men and intends to see him at Anfield for the seasons to come.

Neymar's two dates to sign for PSG

The movements related to the Brazilian's transfer begin to pick up pace, and two dates have already been set to officially announce his PSG move. As reported by 'Mundo Deportivo', the Brazilian's unveiling would take place on Friday, August 4. That is the wish of Al-Khelaifi and his board. However, 'L'Equipe' believe it is another date. A few days ago, the French outlet announced that the move would be completed by Monday, August 7, and that the Parisians had plans for a parade once it is made official. The French publication also underlined that the Brazilian striker is 'closer every day to Paris Saint-Germain', as he will leave Barcelona once the £196m release clause is paid. After  Neymar was excused from training  in order to join the Ligue 1 outfit, it seems Barcelona have little chance of retaining the 25-year-old.

Three ways Manchester United can line up with Nemanja Matic following Chelsea departure

Manchester United announced the £40m capture of Nemanja Matic from Chelsea on Monday. It’s the Red Devils’ third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof.
